OneDrive and SharePoint backup with every version
Back up user files, team sites, document libraries and lists automatically — including version history and permissions. Restore a single file or a whole site to exactly the state you need.
Sync spreads mistakes as fast as files
OneDrive and SharePoint synchronise every change — including accidental deletions, overwritten files and encrypted documents. The recycle bin and version history help for a while, but they are limited in time and live in the same tenant as the damage.
When a team site is deleted, a library is overwritten by a migration or an account leaves together with its OneDrive, you need a copy outside Microsoft 365 that keeps every version and can be restored precisely.
Complete protection for files and sites
Every file, every version — with the folder structure and context needed to put it back where it belongs.
OneDrive for Business
Every user's files with their folder structure, sharing settings and full version history, so you can bring back yesterday's document or last month's.
SharePoint sites and libraries
Team sites, document libraries and lists including permissions and version history — nested sites and custom folders included.
Files from Microsoft Teams
Files shared in Teams channels live in SharePoint and OneDrive, so they are covered by the same backup. Backing up channel messages and chats is in development.
Precise restore
Restore a single file, a folder or a whole site to its original location or to another user, or download it. Full-text search across file contents finds the right version quickly.

Frequently asked questions
- Isn't the OneDrive recycle bin enough?
- The recycle bin and version history keep deleted and changed files for a limited time, inside your tenant. They do not protect against a compromised admin account, ransomware that encrypts every version, or deletions noticed too late. An independent backup keeps versions for as long as your retention policy says.
- Are SharePoint permissions backed up?
- Yes. Sites, document libraries and lists are backed up together with their permissions and version history.
- Are Teams files included?
- Files shared in Teams channels and chats are stored in SharePoint and OneDrive and are backed up with them. Channel messages and chats themselves are not backed up yet; support for them is in development.
- Can I restore a file to another user?
- Yes. Files and folders can be restored to their original location, to a different user or as a download. Cross-user restore is included in the Professional and Enterprise plans.
- How is my data protected in the backup?
- Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it reaches storage, with a separate key per tenant managed in HashiCorp Vault. Data is stored only in the EU — primary storage in Germany, secondary storage in Finland.
